Traffic Manager - One Year Fixed Term Contract

The Opportunity
The Traffic Manager will partner with our Client Service and Project Management Teams at Lucid Group. These teams work with available in-house expertise including our creative, digital, medical writing, strategy and editorial teams. They organise and schedule workload by specialism, aligning resources precisely to approved project estimates and project timelines. In this traffic management role, a strong interest in design and digital technologies is essential, alongside a solution-focused mindset.
The Traffic Manager must be organised, methodical and proactive, thriving in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple deliverables and stakeholders at all levels. Strong people management and communication skills are critical, as is proven expertise in resource planning and commercial awareness. The Traffic Manager must be able to confidently coordinate and manage day-to-day resourcing across multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring the right capability is deployed at the right time to deliver against scope, schedule and budget.
The Traffic Manager will be responsible for identifying the right resource for incoming projects and liaising with the in-house accounts, creative, medical, editorial, strategic and technical teams on a daily basis. The Traffic Manager will also support the identification and coordination of appropriate third party partners where required.
Key responsibilities:
Acting as a point of contact for all functions in-house, signposting and advising how best to access specialist support.
Managing the resource schedule to keep teams running effectively, avoiding wasted and/or down time. Monitoring effective employee utilisation and balancing workload.
Proactively following up and creating opportunities for project tasks to be actioned with enough time to ensure correct plans are in place.
Taking resource requests on board, asking the right questions about the brief and requirements, ensuring briefs are completed accurately and ahead of schedule.
Working in partnership with the Client Service/Project Management Teams and Creative, Medical and Technical department heads, as necessary, to help plan and prioritise everything optimally.
Managing resource change requirements and updates. Inform team members of any project status updates or changes to briefings or deadlines that may impact them, ensuring they are working on the correct projects and to the right deadlines at all times.
Facilitating regular workflow review meetings with senior teams, to ensure all briefs are allocated to the right people and for the appropriate timeframes.
Ensuring all actions coming out of meetings are followed up, and that everyone is quickly informed of any changes that impact them, their projects, or priorities.
Ensuring files are retrieved and stored correctly within Lucid filing systems
Supporting continuous improvement of resourcing processes and contribute ideas to enhance efficiency.
