Consultant, Asset Strategy
Job purpose
To work with senior biopharma clients throughout the product lifecycle to develop differentiated strategies and solutions at the asset, portfolio, and corporate level. From early market and asset evaluations to go-to-market strategy development and life-cycle optimisation, you will provide day to day delivery of outputs across client accounts and partnerships, collaborating effectively with the wider team, to help clients set the direction and align the organisation, transforming opportunities into actionable strategies and meaningful impact.

Key accountabilities
Provide day to day delivery across client accounts and partnerships, collaborating effectively with the wider team to deliver effectively for clients and for Lucid Strategy Consulting (LSC)
Build valued partnerships with leaders in pharma resulting in an expanding industry network
Proactively identify client needs and translate those needs into the design of solutions for the projects you are working on
Contribute to the design and delivery of consulting projects with input from Managers and Directors as required, guiding both senior clients and LSC team to a high value deliverable
Contribute to the development of asset and portfolio strategy, and cross-functional planning at every stage of the asset lifecycle
Contribute to the development of corporate strategy, providing direction for therapeutic area acquisition, development and portfolio prioritisation
Support the design and facilitate effective collaboration across pharma functions, geographies and stakeholders to drive alignment on asset, portfolio and corporate strategy
Support the development and delivery of high-standard, consultancy outputs which benchmark LSC as a competitor in the Strategy Consulting space
Lead the development of realistic project plans with associated roles and responsibilities
Contribute to the development of a strategic framework for main deliverables to the client
Lead interviews and co-facilitate client meetings/ workshops
Carry out complex data assimilation, analysis and interpret data and insights in the context of industry and company-specific issues; assess impact and implications of results
Accountable for quality of deliverables, identifying and tracking risks, escalates major risks internally
Develop and foster collaborative relationships on projects
Responsible for operational set up and close out of projects
Responsible for operational programme management, including budget
Key experience and skills
Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, inhouse and/or consultancy, with a proven track record of shaping successful strategies for assets and/or portfolios
Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry including trends, key external-to-industry influences, pharma function responsibilities across asset lifecycle, service provider offerings and innovations
Understanding of the healthcare landscape including healthcare innovations and trends, key Global policy implications, and knowledge of factors impacting medicines availability incl. regulatory, access and pricing considerations across key markets
Working knowledge of the asset lifecycle, and the strategic priorities and key processes governing the development and commercialisation of an asset
Experience in the design or evolution of complex operational processes associated with asset /portfolio development, commercialisation and management
Experience in cross-functional launch excellence and planning at the Global level
The ability to think strategically and problem solve
Communicate with clarity and impact across all media, aligning and influencing effectively in every interaction, building and maintaining strong relationships
Ability to deliver high impact outputs suitable for senior stakeholder engagement and distribution
Proficiency in using Microsoft tools to deliver high quality, client-ready outputs across formats
Desirable experience and skills
In-market launch / commercialisation experience e.g. US or UK market
Expertise in organisational strategy consulting
Experience in communications strategy and communications programme design
Expertise in facilitation, in reading the room and effectively engaging diverse stakeholder groups, including external experts, while providing a point of view, where appropriate
High proficiency in MS Excel
