This position is aligned to one of our four divisions:
- Lucid Global works with global brand teams at big and mid-tier pharmaceuticals and biotech clients to deliver powerful medical communications solutions for early lifecycle assets.
Our other divisions include:
- Lucid Consulting brings depth of expertise in the research, development and commercialisation of solutions across therapeutic areas and modalities by streamlining product development, building operational capabilities, innovating, and supporting execution to create value for patients, clients and shareholders.
- US MedComms works with both US and Global brand teams to create powerful medical communications solutions for early lifecycle assets.
- US Marketing works with clients across the Rx, Medical Device, OTC and Consumer Device categories to deliver compelling communications and promotional solutions to Healthcare Professionals for in-market assets.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Planners at Lucid build exceptional communications solutions aligned to commercial/medical strategy and with demonstrable impact to health outcomes.
Our Planners hold the following responsibilities:
· Writes (co-creating with clients) high-quality briefs that accurately capture the healthcare problem with key tactical and planning considerations
· Develops responses to client briefs including RFPs, suggesting different specialists across the healthcare communications team to involve in responding to client challenges
· Effectively briefs and onboards teams to collaborate to address client problems and build exceptional solutions across all aspects of healthcare communications
· Partners with client to curate existing relevant insights
· Suggests insight gathering opportunities to fully understand the problem and inform clear recommendations
· Generates and extracts meaningful insights from qualitative and quantitative data, and presents to client with clear recommendations
· Drafts clear programme objectives and strategic imperatives, ensuring the approach ladders up to Lucid’s vision of transforming lives and the visions of our client organisations
· Is an expert in Lucid methodologies, applying in appropriate situations
· Contributes to the collaborative design process for meaningful solutions, applying digital and traditional tactics within multi-/omni-channel programme planning
· Translates strategy/tactics to identify appropriate metrics that measure tactical effectiveness and ladder to strategic impact
· Implements multi-/omnichannel programmes in line with strategic/tactical and measurement plans, pro-actively recognising and addressing gaps in team expertise
· Employs digital marketing best practices including design thinking, UX/UI design, SEO, content design, data-led design
· Drives effective use of channels such as email, social media, paid media, website and virtual meetings
· Informs the structure of effective content design (including video, visual, written, meeting and workshop content) with the user and format in mind
· Partners with analysts to identify trends and insights in metrics collected, suggesting programme pivots where required
· Contributes to new methodology ideation and development
· Supports teams to think in new and interesting ways
· Demonstrates individual and collective responsibility through respectful partnerships across teams representing ~£1M of client revenue
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Essential criteria:
· Able to integrate capabilities across healthcare communications in a bespoke way to create a seamless solution to address a client need
· Able to think strategically and problem solve
· Soft influence skills and ability to collaborate with wide range of internal and external stakeholders
· Able to prioritise and multitask, plugging gaps where necessary
· Written and oral communication skills
· Core computer skills – Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Desirable criteria:
· Communications and/or pharmaceutical industry experience, including experience of healthcare communications, either working within an agency or in-house
· Digitally literate, understanding concepts and processes relevant to healthcare communications
· Digital marketing platforms (e.g. Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, video analytics e.g. Brightcove, CMS, CRM e.g. Veeva, paid social, email and omnichannel campaign management platforms)
· Working understanding of the regulatory environment of the pharmaceutical industry including the ABPI Code of Practice
